Beverlywood has a special flavor all its own. Starting at Pico Blvd. (N) and Beverwil Dr. (W) and zig- zagging to Venice and National Blvds., (S) and Fairfax (E) it is characterized by a multi-cultural heritage with ethnic restaurants, markets, shops and houses of worship.
Its western section is dominated by single family homes that fall within the jurisdiction of the Beverlywood Homeowners Association. Opposition over the building of mc-mansions resulted in tighter regulations for the neighborhood. Moving east the housing choices expand to include apartments, duplexes and condominium projects as well as a small lot development of single family residences with all the modern features buyers want today.
Residents run the gamut from Millennials to Retirees. They are attracted to the area because there is a sense of community with neighbors walking about, often pushing a stroller on the tree lined streets. Public transportation and the 10 freeway are nearby as are several big box stores in the shopping centers on La Cienega Blvd.
