I have been a realtor for over 40 years.
I grew up in Los Angeles, graduated from UCLA
with a B.A. in European history and taught Kindergarten/First Grade at an inner
city school. My mission was to provide the kids with a positive first school
experience and to foster the reading skills essential for a successful
education.
Within a few years I noticed that the landscape
of the City was changing and I recognized there were opportunities for wise
investing. Marshalling my creative impulses and organizational capabilities I
fixed up and refurbished older properties and found good tenants to lease them.
These investments gave me the means to realize
long held dreams…to travel and live abroad. It was great, so many fond
memories.
Upon returning to LA, I decided to utilize my
business experience, passion for real estate and natural abilities as a
facilitator to become a luxury real estate specialist in service to others. I
am fortunate to have a base of loyal repeat clients and other professionals who
refer their friends and family to me, knowing that I am dedicated to their best
interests.
I became a Certified International Property
Specialist, (CIPS) because of my love of traveling and affinity for other
countries and cultures. It is enlightening to attend global conferences. They
are informative about local markets and changing trends. Meeting agents from
all over the world, not only extends my collaborative network, but at the
social events we get to know one another on a more personal basis. Likewise
Nourmand’s reach through Leading RE has benefitted my national and
international buyers and sellers.
Realizing that today’s Boomers are not your
stereotypical grandparents and the need to support this underserved 50+ aging
population, I obtained a Senior Real Estate Specialist, ( SRES® Designation). Deciding
to move could be the result of retirement, a death in the family, an infirmity,
the desire to downsize, relocation to be closer to loved ones, financial
hardship, a new life partner, or the opportunity to purchase a 2nd home.
Working in concert with family members and trusted advisors at a pace that is
comfortable for each individual senior, I take a proactive approach, gently
guiding my clients in a respectful, friendly, compassionate manner through the
process from start to finish, educating them and answering their questions.
At the other end of the spectrum is my enthusiastic
partnering with Millennials, who have a wealth of internet information, but
rely on me to interpret the data and guide them through the process of buying
their first home.
Working for years in the probate arena led to my becoming a Certified Probate
Real Estate Specialist, (CPRES). I strategize in collaboration with attorneys,
executors,and CPA’s to effect
successful outcomes and lessen the burden of dealing with the disposition of
property.
Grateful for my many blessings I pay it forward through
active community involvement: speaker on professional panels, past Vice Chair
of the Global Committee for BH/GLAAR, founding member of Women’s Council of
Realtors,LA/Beverly Hills and 2023
Chair of Community and Affinity Engagement, member of Bruin Professionals, and of the Women’s Business and Business
Law Entertainment Councils of the Century City Chamber of Commerce.
In addition I am involved with non-profits that embrace diversity, underserved
populations and education: our Veterans through VAREPLA, our Seniors though the
SRES® Council, LA’s Foster Children through Working Dreams, Girls and Women in
distress through I Support the Girls and Enrichment programs through Friends of
Westwood Library and the Ahmanson Foundation.
With artful diplomacy and maintaining a respectful and calm demeanor I will be
your strongest advocate in negotiating the best deal for you and finding
solutions should problems arise. I believe successful transactions can be a
win-win for all.
On a personal note I feel privileged to have been a realtor for 40+ years.
Representing clients in Beverly Hills, throughout L.A. and beyond has given me
the opportunity to meet and become friends with many wonderful individuals and
families, a delightfully diverse cultural clientele from across the globe.
I spend my downtime with my cherished children,
grandchildren, family and friends. I still have the travel bug, like to play
tennis, see films and live theatre, attend concerts and educational seminars,
discover new eateries and curl up with a good book.
Let's chat via phone, email or Zoom about how I can be of service to you.
